Calligraphy is know as the art of beautiful writing. It has been my passion since childhood.
My sixth sixth grade at Parker-Bennett School in Bowling Green, Kentucky was Miss Holland. This frail, gray-haired, petite little lady complimented me on my penmanship and encouraged me to improve. Thus my calligraphy career began. But it wasn't until I was working at CBS News when my colleague Linda Vogel praised by handwriting and bought me my first calligraphy pen and a workbook. God bless her!
Now, 28 years later, I continue to practice and improve my art. My formal training was at the New School with noted calligrapher Jane Wong.
I've delighted brides-to-be, party hosts, advertising executives, anniversary celebrants, birthday bash planners and many poetic souls. It is my goal with this blog to offer some wisdom I've acquired as a calligrapher. And it is my great hope that I can help you approach your projects fearlessly, joyfully and creatively! Anyone can learn calligraphy and if you don't want to learn at least you can improve your own handwriting to address your cards, letters, copy poems of help your signature stand out!
